BALTIMORE, MD – RCM&D, one of the nation’s largest independent risk management, insurance and employee benefits firms, has announced that Scott Martin has been named a 2023 Business Insurance Break Out award winner. This award recognizes the next generation of insurance industry leaders who have been working in the commercial insurance and risk management sector for less than 15 years.
Scott is one of 40 brokers from across the country to receive this prestigious award. He has over 10 years of industry experience and serves as RCM&D’s Cyber Practice Leader and a team leader in RCM&D’s Healthcare group.
Scott serves as a strategic partner for his clients, helping to implement policies and procedures that reduce risk and protect them against potential losses. He is dedicated to ensuring that his clients follow best practices and comply with legal requirements when incidents do occur.
“Cyber liability lines have seen dramatic changes to capacity, coverage, rates as well as security control expectations over the past few years,” said RCM&D Management Liability Practice Leader, John Milano. “Scott has been able to work with the team to develop critical tools to keep client data protected and ensure their business is meeting regulatory changes.”
Through Scott’s leadership, RCM&D has developed new partnership with BitSight, a service that provides a non-intrusive scan of a client’s cybersecurity controls and protocols to inform clients of their current cyber standing. Additionally, Scott developed RCM&D’s RiskScript process, a program built to take on today’s hard market by assuring businesses have the control, knowledge and support to mitigate and defend themselves from a ransomware attack.
