Our People

Cyber Practice Leader | Healthcare Practice Team Leader

Scott Martin is RCM&D’s Cyber Practice Leader and a Team Leader for RCM&D’s Healthcare Practice Group.

As the firm’s Cyber Practice Leader, Scott works with some of the largest and most technically complex clients across the mid-Atlantic region to help them identify, prioritize and mitigate risks associated with their cyber operations. A specialist on the topic of data privacy/cybersecurity exposures and coverage options, he provides a deep understanding of the developing cyber liability insurance market, including policy limitations and enhancements as well as critical compliance and regulatory requirements. As a risk management professional, Scott goes beyond helping clients protect themselves through effective policy placement. He serves as a strategic partner, offering expert guidance in developing safeguards, implementing policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance requirements and best practices are followed when an incident occurs.

As a Healthcare Team Leader, Scott leads and coordinates all activities, communications and relationships for a team of healthcare brokerage, claims and risk management professionals.  These efforts include the implementation of insurance programs and subsequent renewals, including marketing, program structure and design, policy language modifications, and underwriting standard implementation, all while maintaining the RCM&D service standards. He also assists with identifying the specialized needs of RCM&D’s healthcare clients and aligning RCM&D’s dedicated healthcare resources to support.

Joining the firm in 2010 after graduating from Virginia Tech University with a Bachelor of Science in marketing management, Scott quickly advanced through the ranks at RCM&D. He is recognized as an emerging leader in the cybersecurity insurance market and has been a guest speaker at numerous cybersecurity, industry-specific and insurance events. He has served on a panel of experts for the RedZone CIO Innovation series, where he presented key topics to Chief Information Officers and business IT leaders from across the region.
