Project Risk Practice Leader

Maria Lobo is a Project Risk Advisor and Leader in RCM&D’s Commercial Lines Division in the Washington DC office. Joining the firm in September 2019, Maria brings over fifteen years of combined risk management and engineering experience to RCM&D. She has particular expertise in risk analysis, program design, marketing, pricing, and financial and coverage analysis for her clients.

Maria focuses on developing and maintaining client relationships to ultimately promote growth and long-term success. As a partner to her clients, she takes the time to develop a deep understanding of their challenges, policies, practices and objectives, so that she can better meet their current needs and proactively address future risks.

Bringing years of project risk management experience to the firm, Maria specializes in the oversight, design, development, marketing and implementation of CIPs. Her vast experience in project risk management expands across several different construction industry sectors, including heavy civil, power generating, commercial, educational, healthcare and real estate with project values ranging from $25 million to 1.5 billion.

Maria is bilingual, fluent in both English and Spanish.

Maria is well respected within the construction and insurance industries. In 2022, she was named a finalist for the Power Broker award by Risk & Insurance Magazine in the construction category.

Prior to joining RCM&D, Maria served in risk consulting and underwriting roles at various national brokerages as well as one of the largest privately owned construction companies nationwide.
