RCM&D Co-Presenting at URMIA's 49th Annual Conference
Christina Childs, Enterprise Risk Management Consultant at RCM&D and Regina Campo, Co-Director of Human Resources and Risk Management at Gettysburg College will present Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Maturity: Case Studies of Integration at Gettysburg College during URMIA's 49th Annual Conference.
Gettysburg College’s enterprise risk management process has matured since its inception in 2010. Initial efforts focused on establishing a risk register through heat mapping, an organizational structure to promote integration, and a collaborative risk assessment process to identify strengths and opportunities. These steps are all critical in establishing a process foundation. However, how has this process resulted in tangible outcomes? Student risks have always been included in the college’s top 10 ranked risks. This session will provide case examples of how ERM has helped facilitate improved risk management performance in two areas with potential, and often real, consequences to both students and institutions. Case studies in student mental and behavioral health and Greek life will demonstrate how the integration of ownership at a department level for these two key areas of student-related risks has improved prevention and performance.
As a result of participating in this session, attendees will be able to benchmark their experience with Gettysburg College and other peer intuitions in the session, study a case example of successfully integrating enterprise risk in operations, and develop or refine strategies for enterprise risk that are aligned with their mission and values.
