Webinar | Active Shooter Response Options
According to a recent study released by the FBI “The number of incidents in which a shooter opens fire on a crowd of people more than doubled over the past seven years […].” So far in 2018, there have been 23 active shooter events in the United States. There is a lot of debate as to how to reduce the frequency of these horrific events, but one thing we can all agree on is that it is important to be prepared.
Preparing your students, staff or patients with information on how to respond to an active shooter event can make the difference between life and death. Does your organization have a response policy? What methods for response does your organization teach? Does your organization emphasize option based strategies? By attending this webinar you will learn:
- How to initially alert authorities and continue communication.
- Evacuation methods and rally point considerations.
- Techniques for barricading.
- How and when to counterattack.
The webinar will be presented by RCM&D Risk Consultant, Stacey Markel.
