Webinar | Ergonomics

August 6, 2019 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

According to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) workers in all industries and occupations are exposed to risk factors that can lead to pain, discomfort and serious musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). MSDs are a leading cause of lost or restricted work time for employees and account for approximately 33% of all worker injury cases. Risk factors causing MSDs include lifting heavy items, bending, reaching, pushing and pulling large objects, repeating tasks, sitting in an uncomfortable position and more.

Employers are responsible for providing a safe environment for workers. The number of cases and the severity of workplace-related musculoskeletal disorders can be greatly reduced by understanding, and applying ergonomic principles. Attend this webinar to learn:

  • Common types of office injuries and the high cost of claims.
  • Ergonomic process implementation including proper computer workstation set-up, safe lifting techniques, the use of assistance devices and more.
  • Spinal anatomy, stretching techniques and other general health information to help prevent MSDs.

The webinar will be presented by Dr. Michael Moses of Arlington Pain and Rehab.
