Webinar | Reasonable Suspicion Drug Test Training

July 10, 2019 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

When prescribed by a doctor, medications can be used to treat conditions such as chronic pain, insomnia, glaucoma, ADHD, and many more. Unfortunately, prescriptions, over-the-counter medications and alcohol can and are often misused or abused both at home and in the workplace.

As a supervisor, you may wonder what the appropriate course of action is when you have reason to believe that one of your employees may be under the influence of drugs or alcohol. This seminar will discuss “reasonable-suspicion” drug testing in the workplace and the procedure of sending a suspected employee to be drug tested.

Learning Objectives:

  • Learn how to recognize the signs and symptoms of drug and alcohol use by an employee.
  • Provide supervisors with the knowledge needed to identify and document reasonable suspicion.
  • Help guide supervisors in approaching employees who they suspect are under the influence of alcohol or drugs in the workplace.

The webinar will be by presented by RCM&D Risk Consultant, Anne Jackson.

The webinar has been approved for 1.0 contact hour of Continuing Education Credit toward fulfillment of the requirements of ASHRM designations of FASHRM (Fellow) and DFASHRM (Distinguished Fellow) and towards CPHRM renewal.
