This webinar will discuss the background of telemedicine, examine how telemedicine is regulated, review the challenges of telemedicine and provide risk management strategies for crafting a proactive telemedicine program. By the end of the session, you will:
- Understand the telemedicine laws, regulations and legislation that apply in the locations where BOTH the practitioner and the patient are located. This includes requirements regarding licensure, physician-patient relationship, prescribing, privacy and security, and credentialing and privileging.
- Be able to address key challenges before implementing a telemedicine program.
- Have access to a Telemedicine Readiness Assessment Survey.
- Know the benefits and risks of telemedicine.
