Webinar | A Work-Related Injury Occurs – Now What?

July 11, 2018 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

The manner in which an employee is treated immediately following a work-related injury can set the tone for the workers’ compensation claim that follows. This webinar will focus on the supervisor’s immediate response after an employee reports an injury. We’ll walk participants through a specific injury scenario, illustrate the pitfalls that could negatively influence the resolution of the claim and demonstrate what to do (or not to do) after an employee is injured at work, including how to:

• Demonstrate a caring, non-judgmental response
• Facilitate appropriate medical care
• Accommodate restrictions
• Identify the root cause of the incident

The webinar will be presented by RCM&D Risk Consultants Shannon Burke and Anne Jackson.

The webinar is approved for 1.0 contact hour of Continuing Education Credit toward fulfillment of the requirements of ASHRM designations of FASHRM (Fellow) and DFASHRM (Distinguished Fellow). It is also approved for 1.0 contact hour of Continuing Education Credit toward CPHRM renewal.
