RCM&D Self-Insured Services Co. (SISCO) Named a Finalist for the 2019 Third-Party Administration (TPA) Team of the Year

(SISCO) has been announced as a finalist for the Business Insurance 2019 U.S. Insurance Awards Program in the category of Third-Party Administration (TPA) Team of the Year. The awards honor teams of professionals working on specific projects in the commercial insurance and risk management sector. Finalists were selected by senior Business Insurance staff. After a final review from a panel of expert risk managers, the highest-scoring team in each category will be announced at an awards event in New York on March 21.

Over a four-year period before a SISCO school system client implemented Early Intervention, 42% of its lost time claimants obtained legal representation. In the year SISCO’s Early Intervention was implemented only 27% of lost time claims obtained legal representation, 15 percentage points below the previous four-year average.
     
  • Employer 360 Claim Solution is comprehensive, turnkey solution for small and mid-sized employers. This solution provides a review of the client’s claim management program, recommends improvements, and implements a new program, including the creation of reporting forms, policies, education, internal roll-out and employee communication. On average, clients using SISCO’s Employer 360 Claim Solution saw a 13% reduction in indemnity claims, 7% reduction in attorney representation, and 77% decrease in medical and indemnity payments.

The U.S. Insurance Awards were created last year to help address the industry’s talent crisis by funding The Business Insurance Scholarship, which is administered by The Institutes Griffith Insurance Education Foundation. The endowment opens new opportunities to provide scholarships, grants and programming at universities without risk management degree programs.
