In an effort to stem premium increases many employers have migrated to high deductible plans which shift significant cost on to employees. In the short term this has helped average employers to keep their premium increases in the single digits, but many are still experiencing double digit year over year increases and the cost shifting can only go so far. The Employee Benefits Consultants at RCM&D have seen this coming down the pike and are having great success working with employers to rein in costs elsewhere in their plans. Some of our services even reduce deductible expenses for employees with chronic high cost claims.
