RCM&D Announces Beneficiaries of the 25th Annual RCM&D Regatta

RCM&D, a leading independent risk management, insurance and employee benefits firm, announced the beneficiaries of their 25th Annual Regatta, the organization’s largest philanthropic initiative for nonprofits who serve the mid-Atlantic region. This year, fundraising efforts and corporate sponsorships will benefit four organizations that provide critical services for our people within our communities:  Asylee Women Enterprise, Dads Works / Moms Works, The League for People with Disabilities, and Maryland Center for Veterans Education and Training (MCVET).

Representing 25 years of service and dedication to raising funds and awareness for more than 50 nonprofit organizations, RCM&D employees will begin the annual campaign to reach this year’s $100,000 goal, the largest in the history of the event.  “The Regatta is a unique kind of fundraiser,” stated Katie Caple, Regatta Committee Chair and Vice President of Corporate Outreach for RCM&D.  Employees representing the firm’s five mid-Atlantic offices volunteer their time and resources to host a variety of internal and community-based fundraising activities to help reach the goal.  And, employee advocates work throughout the year with the beneficiaries to coordinate group volunteer outings at each of their organizations to boost awareness and engagement.

“Along with the employee advocacy and support, corporate sponsorships are critical to the success of the Regatta,” commented Katie Caple. Organizations are encouraged to sponsor the Regatta, which will be held on Friday, September 21, 2018, at the Downtown Sailing Center.  Corporate sponsors receive several benefits, including the opportunity to compete in the sailing race on Baltimore’s Inner Harbor with the beneficiaries and RCM&D employees.  During the race, RCM&D hosts an afternoon celebration on the water at the Baltimore Museum of Industry’s Pavilion, where guests cheer on the sailors, enjoy lunch and a variety of fun activities.

Throughout the history of the Regatta, corporate sponsors and RCM&D employees have joined together to raise over $1 million in funding with 100% of the proceeds donated directly to the beneficiaries.  “At the center of RCM&D’s corporate culture is a commitment to the communities we serve. We are proud to support these organizations by raising essential funds for their programs and helping to increase awareness of their missions,” stated Skip Counselman, Chairman and CEO of RCM&D. “The Regatta brings together our business partners, employees, beneficiaries and the community for one common cause, and that’s to help people in need and have a great time while doing it.”
