(BALTIMORE, MD) – RCM&D has announced the beneficiaries for its 28th annual Regatta, the firm’s largest annual philanthropic effort.
Each year, RCM&D selects deserving mid-Atlantic nonprofits as beneficiaries for its yearlong fundraising and volunteer efforts. These initiatives culminate in a sailboat race and waterfront celebration at the Baltimore Museum of Industry’s Downtown Sailing Center, located on the Inner Harbor at 1425 Key Highway. This year’s beneficiaries include Elk Hill, Horizon Day Camp, One Love Foundation, The Baltimore Station and The Hiding Place.
“We’re extremely proud of the Regatta’s rich history; which is deeply rooted in core values of giving back to the communities we serve,” said Matt Kahn, RCM&D President. “The Regatta extends beyond being a fundraiser and single-day event. It is a yearlong initiative that champions these nonprofits and fosters a deep understanding of their mission. This provides a platform for our employees to volunteer their time and forge meaningful connections with these incredible organizations.”
The races will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. while spectators cheer on the sailors and enjoy a variety of on-shore activities. An awards ceremony will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. to recognize race winners and corporate sponsors, as well as present donations to each of the five beneficiaries.
“The Regatta is engrained in RCM&D’s history and is the culmination of another year serving the communities we call home,” said Katie Caple, RCM&D Vice President of Corporate Outreach. “We are extremely proud to continue this incredible tradition and look forward to setting sail once again in September.”
