RCM&D Announces Return of Annual Regatta

RCM&D has announced the return of its annual Regatta on Friday, September 16, 2022. Benefitting mid-Atlantic based nonprofit organizations, this year’s Regatta marks the first race since 2019 following a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The event will take place at the Downtown Sailing Center at the Baltimore Museum of Industry located at 1425 Key Highway from 12:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

“This year, we are celebrating getting ‘back on deck’ with the return of the RCM&D Regatta,” said Katie Caple, Vice President of Corporate Outreach for RCM&D. “The Regatta is the culmination of our yearly philanthropic efforts at RCM&D. Each year, we invite nonprofit organizations located in the mid-Atlantic to apply as beneficiaries and look forward to partnering with new recipients to help fund their programs.” Fundraising efforts for the 2022 Regatta will benefit five organizations; Camp Rock, Empower4Life, Martha’s Table, Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital and World Central Kitchen.

“We are proud to support these worthy organizations through our fundraising and volunteer efforts to help bring much-needed resources to their programs and raise awareness of their missions,” said Bob Cawley, CEO of RCM&D. “The Regatta is a different kind of fundraiser,  one that brings our business partners, employees, beneficiaries and the community together. We are thrilled to return to the water this September to celebrate these efforts.”

The races will take place from 12:45 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. while spectators cheer on the sailors and enjoy a variety of on-shore activities.  An awards ceremony will be held from 2:45 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. to recognize race winners and corporate sponsors, as well as present donations to each of the five beneficiaries.
