BALTIMORE, MD – RCM&D proudly marked a major milestone with its 30th Annual Regatta, held at the Downtown Sailing Center and Baltimore Museum of Industry. Thanks to overwhelming support, this year’s celebration raised $150,000, more than $30,000 above last year’s total, to benefit five regional nonprofit organizations. The event brought together employees, local nonprofits and community members to celebrate three decades of philanthropy.
“As we celebrate 30 years of the Regatta, I’m filled with gratitude for the incredible generosity and spirit of our community,” said Matt Kahn, President of RCM&D. “Throughout the year, our team immerses themselves in the missions of our beneficiaries and are inspired by the incredible work they do. We’re honored to support these remarkable organizations and thankful to everyone who helped make this year so impactful.”
“What began as a small sailing event has grown into a powerful tradition of giving back,” said Bob Cawley, CEO of RCM&D. “Over the past 30 years, the Regatta has evolved into a powerful platform for community engagement, allowing us to deepen relationships, expand our impact and celebrate the spirit of service that defines our organization.”
Since its inception, the Regatta has raised more than $1.6 million and supported 82 nonprofits across the Mid-Atlantic region. Funds raised from this year’s Regatta will directly support the critical work of the following regional nonprofits:
- Camp No Limits – Fee assistance and adventure programming for youth with limb differences at the Maryland camp.
- CARITAS – Emergency shelter supplies including food, equipment and office materials to help staff provide care for individuals experiencing homelessness.
- Interfaith Works – Housing, essentials, job support and financial assistance for people experiencing homelessness and poverty in Montgomery County.
- Tuerk House – Pharmacy co-pays to ensure access to essential prescriptions for individuals in recovery.
- Ulman Foundation – Lodging, utilities, travel assistance and household supplies for young adults undergoing cancer treatment.
RCM&D extends its utmost appreciation to all beneficiaries, sponsors, volunteers and attendees who made the 30th Annual Regatta a resounding success. This year’s event was the most attended in Regatta history, a true testament to the enthusiasm and generosity of our community. The Regatta would not be possible without the generous support of our sponsors. Special thanks to our “Constellation” sponsor, Selective; our “Admiral” sponsor, CRC Group; and our “Commodore” sponsors: AHEAD, Amwins, Centro, Chubb, CNA, GuidePoint Security, RT Specialty, and Travelers Insurance.
We’re extremely proud of the impact made this year and grateful to everyone who helped make it possible. We look forward to setting sail again next year for the 31st Annual Regatta as we continue supporting meaningful work in our communities.
