RCM&D Chairman and CEO Skip Counselman Serves on CPCU Conferment Panel

On September 17, RCM&D’s Chairman and CEO Albert “Skip” Counselman participated as a panelist at the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) Conferment Ceremony in Honolulu, Hawaii. The ceremony takes place each year to recognize new CPCU designees and celebrate their achievements. This year’s designees included RCM&D employee, Leanne Pemburn.

The Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation is offered by The Institutes, the insurance industry’s most trusted and respected knowledge leader. The CPCU program enables property and casualty professionals to meet the challenges of a demanding risk management and insurance marketplace.

“Continuing education enables us to work smarter, be strategic, and focus on the most important issues of the day,” commented Counselman. “The Institutes is the proven leader for relevant and accessible continuing education for the property and casualty industry and the CPCU designation is its cornerstone program. At the Honolulu meeting, more than 7,500 new CPCU designees were recognized for their commitment and achievement. It is a privilege to serve our industry on The Institutes board.”

The Conferment Ceremony was held on the first day of the CPCU Society’s Annual Meeting. This year’s meeting welcomed 12,500 attendees who gathered to hear industry leaders discuss current topics related to the property and casualty industry. The meeting, which takes place every fall, offers an excellent opportunity for CPCU designees to meet one another and learn from insurance experts.
