RCM&D hosted an Employer Forum today on Motivating Healthy Behaviors: Insights for Building a Healthy Workforce Culture.
Speakers included Carlo DiClemente, PhD, Professor of Psychology, University of MD Baltimore County; Dexter Shurney, MD, MBA, MPH, Chief Medical Director for the Employee Health Plan for Vanderbilt University and Medical Center and Jim Gaughan, Director, Risk Consulting Division, RCM&D. Dr. DiClemente provided insights on how companies can help employees sustain healthy behavior changes. Dr. Shurney described what employers can do to incorporate basic prevention concepts into normal workplace competencies. Jim Gaughan outlined how employers can effectively build a culture of health – covering both occupation and non-occupational aspects of health.
