RCM&D is pleased to announce that we have joined BLocal, an initiative of Johns Hopkins University and Health System, as a participant in the BLocal BUILD College. The BLocal BUILD College is a 13-session program designed for small, local, minority-owned, woman-owned and disadvantaged Baltimore-based businesses in the design and construction industries. The college aims to help its participants develop key competencies and relationships to drive future growth. The first session offering began on June 8, 2016.
Each session will focus on critical topics, such as:
- Architectural Drawings and Specifications
- Bidding and Legal/Contracting Considerations
- Change Management
- Project Management
- Financial Management/Banking
- Human Resources
- Business Development
- Bonding/Surety
- Insurance
- Safety/Quality Management
Two members of RCM&D’s Construction and Surety Practice, Stephen Mainello and Richard Shaw, will provide participants with construction and business training related to bonding, surety, insurance and risk management. In additional to educational opportunities, each session will focus on networking and building relationships.
