RCM&D Named Insurance Journal’s 2022 Best Agency to Work for in the East

RCM&D is proud to be selected as the Insurance Journal’s 2022 “Best Agencies to Work For” in the East region. The firm received this recognition as a result of nominations made directly by its employees.  “RCM&D is the total package. The company prides itself on growth, not only the growth of the company but, of each employee and their contributions,” said an employee per the Insurance Journal article.

“We take tremendous pride in our culture. A great business starts with fostering an environment that makes us proud to come to work each day. We’re honored to be recognized by our staff as one of the best agencies in the industry to work for,” said Bob Cawley, CEO of RCM&D. “Yet, we also recognize that it is the dedication of our incredible staff that makes RCM&D truly a best agency to work for.”

Each year, Insurance Journal surveys the property & casualty industry in search of the best independent insurance agencies to work for. The nominations are made directly by employees answering detailed questionnaire about compensation, benefits and culture. Eligibility is determined based on the number of nominations based respective to firm size.

“As a service oriented business, we are acutely aware that our ‘product’ is the work ethic, responsiveness, attitude and intellectual capital of our colleagues,” said Matt Kahn, President of RCM&D. “As a result, our leadership team works extraordinarily hard to ensure that our colleagues have what they need to thrive.”

In recent years, RCM&D has launched several initiatives to benefit its staff and adapt to changing trends from the COVID-19 pandemic to rising inflation. The firm has adopted a flexible hybrid working schedule to improve work/life balance without sacrificing our existing apprenticeship model for employee development. RCM&D also offers a host of benefits to its employees, including flexible PTO schedules, 401(k) plans, health savings accounts and tuition reimbursement programs.

“We consistently evaluate our policies and benefit programs on an ongoing basis,” said RCM&D’s Senior Vice President of Human Resources “We do this to not only ensure we’re providing a comprehensive benefits package that’s competitive in the marketplace, but also one that meets our employees’ individual and collective needs.”

“Our commitment to our colleagues, clients and community is part of our culture and something we live every day,” said Kahn. RCM&D also participates in a variety of philanthropic efforts throughout the year to help bring employees together while benefitting the charitable organizations that are meaningful to them. This year, RCM&D’s Annual Regatta fundraiser generated over $91,000 to support five regional nonprofits – all of which were directly nominated by RCM&D employees.
