BALTIMORE, MD – RCM&D, a Unison Risk Advisors company and leading independent risk management, insurance and employee benefits firm, announced that Bruce Guthrie has been named a 2026 Risk & Insurance® Power Broker® in the at-large category. Val Papa was also recognized as a finalist in the Cyber category.
Bruce Guthrie, Senior Broker at RCM&D, was recognized for his work guiding organizations through complex risk scenarios across multiple industries. Over the past year and throughout his career, he has helped clients reevaluate insurance programs, improve coverage structures and address challenging property, casualty and liability exposures. His approach emphasizes clear communication, strategic program design and aligning coverage with each organization’s operational goals.

He holds the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designations and has completed “The Broker Academy” at Lloyd’s of London, reflecting his ongoing commitment to staying current with market, legal and regulatory developments.
Val Papa, RCM&D’s Cyber Practice Leader, was named a finalist in the Cyber category for his ability to help organizations navigate an increasingly dynamic cyber risk environment. He has supported clients through cyber incidents such as ransomware, social engineering and vendor-related disruptions, while also managing renewals and advocating for well‑aligned coverage outcomes in a rapidly evolving market.
