Bruce Guthrie, ARM, CIC

Bruce Guthrie is a Client Executive working out of RCM&D’s Bethesda office. With over 20 years of experience in Property & Casualty insurance, Bruce primarily focuses on client management for real estate owners, property managers, contractors, social services and more. He also has extensive experience working with healthcare institutions, including hospitals and assisted living facilities.

In his role as a Client Executive, Bruce is responsible for managing client service cycles, marketing renewals, writing proposals and communicating key regulatory changes. Clients have described Bruce as responsive, knowledgeable and a true professional. Bruce’s wealth of experience includes expertise in the London market as well as placing coverages for multibillion-dollar municipality and real estate portfolios, which includes clients in the District of Columbia. He has a vast knowledge of shared, layered and single-carrier placements

Before joining RCM&D, Bruce worked for AON in the Fine Arts Division, where he provided risk consulting for some of the country’s largest museums. Following his first stint with RCM&D from 2013 to 2019, Bruce transitioned into insuring a broader selection of businesses by referrals from Loan Officers at M&T Bank.  Those clients included contractors, property owners/managers and manufacturers.

In his personal time, Bruce sits on the Board of Directors for his condominium association and advises on the daily needs, budgets, legal affairs, and insurance for 300 unit-owners in Montgomery County, MD. Before joining the insurance industry, Bruce worked in construction and for a metal manufacturer in Chicago.
