Colin Smith

Colin joined RCM&D as a Team Leader in our Commercial Lines Division in 2024. He brings 10 years of experience in the industry and 3 years of experience in a leadership role, along with his Property & Casualty license. Over the last decade, he has specialized in property and casualty risk within the professional services, nonprofit and government contracting industries.

Colin works closely with clients to understand their operations, identify potential risks and design tailored insurance programs to mitigate those risks effectively. He strives to provide the best risk transfer solutions by staying in tune with industry trends while also leveraging analytics that support recommendations across multiple product lines. Additionally, he is committed to fostering a collaborative and high performing team environment.

Colin began his career as an Insurance Specialist at Marsh & McLennan, where he progressed to an Account Executive and eventually a Vice President and Team Leader. His previous role involved the assessment of various risk profiles such as professional liability, cyber liability, and errors and omissions exposures. He also helped facilitate the development of a collaborative and sustainable business model.
