With over 10 years of healthcare industry experience, Dorathy has spent the last seven as the lead specialist and coordinator of credentialing services offered by RCM&D. She is responsible for the oversight of the credentialing department, and is responsible for development, implementation and quality of credentialing policies and procedures.
Medical Source Verification
- Provides consulting services
- Works as interim staff for hospital medical staff offices, performing all aspects of primary source verification process for initial and re-appointments
- Performs medical staff information system audits
- Draws on in-depth knowledge of criteria and processes in accordance with JCAHO, AAAHC, and NCQA standards, and Medicare Hospital Conditions of Participation (COPs)
Physician Credentialing
- Develops and implements credentialing policies and procedures
- Maintains extensive knowledge of national credentialing guidelines, policies and procedures, as well as state and federal credentialing regulations and laws
- Coordinates, monitors and maintains credentialing and re-credentialing process by facilitating all aspects of credentialing for clients
- Manages relationships with provider relations representatives and network educators
- Educates and performs on-site training for billing staff to ensure compliance with credentialing and billing guidelines for various payers
