James Shewey

James joined the firm in 2006, bringing a depth of commercial insurance experience to his position. James currently serves as our Education Practice Leader, providing strategic direction and service alignment for K-12 schools, colleges and universities and consortiums.

With a deep understanding of the unique risks facing educational institutions, James provides guidance and helps clients navigate a wide range of challenges. His consultative approach focuses on identifying and mitigating potential exposures and developing tailored solutions to safeguard institutions.

James is a two-time Risk & Insurance Power Broker award winner by Risk & Insurance Magazine, recognized for his exceptional client service and knowledge in the education industry.

Prior to joining RCM&D, James held roles with a local brokerage firm and worked in personal lines with a national firm.
