Jason Jones is a seasoned insurance leader with more than 30 years of experience helping organizations protect their assets, manage risk and achieve their business goals. As Market Leader for RCM&D in the Washington, D.C. and Richmond, VA offices, Jason oversees all aspects of business operations and leads a high-performing team dedicated to delivering exceptional client service and results.
He offers significant expertise in financial lines insurance, including Directors & Officers (D&O), Employment Practices Liability, Fiduciary/Pension Liability, and various forms of Professional and Cyber Liability. His experience spans the U.S., London and Bermuda insurance markets. He has advised numerous Fortune 1000 companies, venture capital and private equity firms, and independent sponsors on complex financial transactions such as IPOs, M&A, debt and equity issuance, and corporate restructurings.
In addition, he plays a key role in Unison Risk Advisor’s Private Equity and M&A Services practice, advising pre-acquisition due diligence and transactional risk solutions that drive successful deal outcomes. He also helps portfolio companies implement cost-saving strategies, with a focus on optimizing employee benefits and pooled retirement plans.
He takes pride in building long-term relationships with his clients, working closely with them to align insurance and risk strategies with their business priorities and long-term vision. His collaborative approach ensures that each client receives tailored solutions designed to strengthen their organization’s resilience and support sustainable growth.
He began his career at Chubb in New York and has held senior leadership roles with two top 10 global insurance brokerages in Washington, DC. Prior to joining RCM&D, he served as President of B.F. Saul Insurance, where he led a successful turnaround of the long-standing boutique insurance advisory firm.
Jason earned his BBA in Risk Management & Insurance from The Ohio State University. He is actively engaged in a variety of civic and charitable organizations, including The Economic Club of Washington, DC; First Tee of Greater Baltimore; the Maryland Food Bank; and the Ruxton-Riderwood-Lake Roland Area Association. He is also a former adjunct professor at the Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland, College Park.
