Senior Risk Advisor

Tom Shelton is a Senior Risk Advisor with over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry. Working out of the Towson office, Tom joined RCM&D in 2004 and primarily focuses on construction, real estate and general industries.  

In his current role, Tom’s primary focus is on producing new revenue-generating accounts, managing service expectations and deliverables to clients, assisting with firm-wide initiatives, and growing top line revenue. Tom’s skillset allows him to effectively cross-sell the firm’s strengths to clients and prospects. His attention to detail combined with his ability to manage team output on large, technical accounts make him a leader his clients can trust.  

Tom has his Property & Casualty license in Maryland, the District of Columbia, Virginia, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and others. Tom has his Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter designation. 

Tom is a longstanding member of long-standing board member and past president of The Friends of the Lighthouse Shelter, a Homeless Resource and Recovery Center in Annapolis, MD. He is also currently a member of Associated Builders and Contractors and the Urban Land Institute.
