The RCM&D Construction Practice Group encourages all of its construction clients and partners to consider joining the OSHA National Safety Stand-Down to Prevent Falls in Construction campaign during the week of May 7th -11th. This important event provides an outstanding opportunity to discuss fall prevention and fall protection methods with your employees. As you may know, falls are still a leading cause of deaths in construction. During 2016, there were 370 fatalities related to falls out of 991 total fatalities in U.S. construction.
The OSHA website provides great resources for construction companies, including:
- How to conduct a safety stand-down
- Resources and videos on preventing falls
